Happy Birthday Nige!!!!
Happy birthday to you, I went to the zoo, I saw a Gorilla, and I thought it was you! Happy Birthday Nigel, from all of us down here, hope the card got to you ok. We have had a busy couple of days, and it has been hot and humid, with big fat showers, so the kids have learnt to row in my washing basket......
We were visited by family yesterday, on Mam's side, who live in Fornby. They bought the kids loads of pressies, and Iwan got a book about Farm animals (good choice!) so this is how he spent the majority of the afternoon. Are you sitting comfortably?
Now, we have been up to Alder Hey agan today, and basically, Cerys's blood count has stayed the same, which is ok. And we have to go back in another three weeks for another check. The way the Doctor was talking, then if it doesn't rise again next time, then they will think of treatment, but at the moment, they are pleased her levels haven't dropped. Anyway, she is full of beans, and as you can see, she enjoyed the playground afterwards!!!
Now, here we go with a Mel showing off her cute kid again....what do you think? they are destined to be in the biz of show yes??

And in typical summer hols fashion......
We hit the beach!!! We went with some friends to Llanfairfechan beach today, and as expected, the kids loved loved loved it!!! Within 10minutes, Iwan had stripped, and Cerys was digging up the wettest sand she could find!! They really do get stuck in my kids! No worries about getting wet and dirty!! So thought I'd post the latest photos so I don't have to load loads next time!!!
This is literally ten seconds after getting out of the car!!!

And a naked Iwan trying to persuade his "girlfriend" Poppy to get into the water with him, but she was a good girl and tried her best to stick to building sandcastles!

Wet and mucky!

And then, the girls decided to head for the sea, leaving a not-so-long-legged Iwan trying to catch up!!

SO we are all shattered after the sea air, the car is full of sand and sticky after ice cream (haven't told Jon that bit yet!!)
Hope you all ok, MWAH!!!!

A weekend of sunshine?? Well I never!!
Good evening! Happy Sunday to you all, hope everyone is well and you are enjoying chilling in the summer hols. We have been on holiday for two weeks now, and have just had a lazy time of it. We have also had two funerals to go in the past week, so tomorrow morning we're really hoping to start the hols!!
I will start off with pics of the birthday boy, and the cake we had, when he got back from work (yes the kids are in their jimjams!!)

Now just a couple of pics I really like!!! Cerys in her princess dress.....

and what the pair of them get up to in the bath once they're bored of their squirty toys!! Looks like Iwan is tellin gher where's she's missed a spot!

Now yesterday was a scorcher here, so off we went to barneys, where they enjoyed a glorious afternoon in the sun. You'll guess that Iwan spent the afternoon doing his favorite thing.....being naked......

And Cerys entertained us all by putting on a show, comlete with golf-club microphones!

So just a quick update from me (Top Gear is on!!) and we will be back to wish the old fart Happy Birthday during the week ;p What are the celebratory plans? I am still waiting for the no-doubt-unconventional story of the broken toe! We're also back at the hospital on Thursday, so will let you know the outcome of that too. Kisses to all, speak soon

Tired!!
Hello all! We are shattered here!
It was lovely to see you yesterday, and we appreciate you travelling to come down for a few hours. Shame you couldn't stay, but nag those parents of yours for a weekend when we can have a proper catch up ;)
The fire went on for quite a bit longer, as did Cerys, finally giving in to exaustion at around 10.30pm!!!
Hope Nigel didn't get stiff as a plank sleeping in the back of that car, and you got all your chores done! Everyone was pleased to see you, so we really must arrange a longer get-together next time.
P.S. Loving Loving the hair!!

WOW What a Long day!!!
W are literally just back from the hospital now, and it's nine o clock at night! We have had such a long day, and it doesn thelp that Jon is hungover (dirty dirty beer) and I am shattered having stayed up til late (4am!)chinwagging with my friend!! So as we didn't think it was safe to drive, I had to drive into Liverpool, and I did good too! No major incidents to be reported, and I am really enjoying this driving lark!
Cerys finished Nursery school today, it's onwards and upwards to the Big school now!!
So, the hospital...she screamed when they did the blood test, but hey ho, poor thign has been a human pin cushion recently, so I kinda understand her pain! They got the results very quickly there, and although her general blood count is still very low, its not dangerous. Her red blood cells have decreased ever so slightly, the white blood cells are more or less the same, but the platelets have dramatically increased, which we are thrilled with. He seems to be relieved that the choice to do nothing and just observe seems to have been the right one, and is quite happy to leave her to get on with things for three weeks now, so hopefully it'll be even better when we go then.
BUT!!!!!!! The drama didn't end there!! We got to Queensferry for about fiveish, and I needed to stp at a supermarket, when we realised...........................we'd left ted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cerys had been playing on the playground whilst jon took some toys into the playroom, and poor ted had been left there. So we turn around, go back to Liverpool (mid rushhour! FUN!) and we had to search the whole of the department, until a very very nice security man came eventually, and opened the locked outside playground, and there was poor ted, cold and scared! Here is the adventurer a few days ago.

So Iwan, Cerys, and Ted are now tucked up safe and warm in bed, and i shall soon be following as soon as I finish my Panad! really looking forwards to seeing you on Saturday, get ready to be kiddie-d!!

Happy Monday!!!
I am adding photos as I put them on the Laptop, to save adding loads next weekend! Firstly, we had a bit of a celebration dinner for Mam's birthday on Saturday (cn you believe it has been two years since that party where you stayed over in the cottage!), as we had only just got back from the hospital with Cerys when it was her birthday last week. So I'm going to try and be clever now, and add not only a pic, but a video too, fingers crossed!! Iwan slept through it all which is why he isnt in them!
We went to Beaumaris castle yesterday, and we all loved it! The geek in Jon and I shone through, and the kids loved climbing the winding stairs and hiding in all the small chambers and scaring us!
It really was an excellent day out, and we will go back soon, you should all come and join us!
Believe it or not, Jon took ages taking this picture!!! But just to show, this is one wel travelled cow!!!!

So that's it for Monday, I am off to write about 15 reports now (damn end of term!) and we're off on the school trip to the farm tomorrow, no doubt seeking cows! Hope you're all ok, Kisses to all.

About bloody time I updated this blog, and SO much has happened!!!! Sorry its taken so long.
Firstly another pic of Cerys and one of her fave things - bikes! She is becoming quite the enthusiast! So when Graham came to visit one Sunday a few weeks ago, followed by Dylan on his way home from work, she was in her glory surrounded by them!

We all had an excellent holiday, beautiful place, wonderful people, and good company. We basically chilled for a week, and enjoyed doing not much. Cerys and Iwan learnt a small amount of spanish, and I learned I didn't like Seat Leons!!!!
Here's some pics.......Firstly, the Villa (comes highly recommended!!)

and this is the effect catching a 6am flight had on Iwan!

Enjoying the Mahon Ice cream.......

and providing the entertainment........

Trust her to spot this dress whilst on holiday!

Chilling!

And Us lot!!!!

Now you will know about Cerys and our health probs, so I won't go over that again, but to update you, we were back at the hospital on Thursday, and her blood count is still decreasing, but at a realy slow rate. They are still not sure why this is, and are monitoring her now to see if it continues to decrease, or if it levels itself out. We have to go back on Thursday again for another blood test. Cerys has been such a trooper throughout, and at times when Jon and I were in absolute pieces, she has kept us going! She has developed a dislike for needles though, but will tolerate the small scratch on her thumb now, which is how they test her count. Will let you know how it goes on Thursday. Here's a pic of her passing some time whilst we were waiting for the very first blood test results. Bless!!!

Cerys also went to the "big" school last week, for her taster session, and so far so good! We have started with the uniform, and hopefully, she will be excited rather than nervous when the time comes in September. And lastly, here is apicture of Cerys after two blood transfusions. She has much more colour in her cheeks, and has the spark back that she was loosing before!

So will update again after being in Liverpool on Thursday afternoon (also the day we finish school! YIPEE!!) Hope you are all ok, kisses to all, speak soon
